The CFO Branch is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, and for providing strong operational finance and performance reporting analysis across the health service. The main sub-units within the CFO branch include the Financial Management Unit, Revenue and Financial Services, Patients Accounts, and Health Information Services.
Health Information Services (HIS) provides a range of services including clinical record scanning and management, clinical coding and casemix data generation, patient identifier maintenance, clinical record forms design and managing access to personal health information to facilitate patient care and follow-up, for research, quality improvement, education, and hospital management purposes.
This position is responsible for the tracking and updating of discharge summary deficiency tasks, monitoring CHS discharge summary completion rates, and informing clinical divisions and individual clinicians of the outstanding discharge summaries. This involves running reports and manipulating data in Excel, reviewing records and assessing discharge summary completeness. As part of the HIS front office team, this position is also responsible for assisting with administrative and reception duties to support consumers, internal and external health professionals and members of the public.
