Disability Support Worker Anglicare's Disability Support Workers provide direct careand support to clients to ensure that their individual needs aremet. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centredapproach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aimis to assist clients to develop additional skills in line withtheir goals and support plan.
The things that you may need to work with our clients on mayinclude:
personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)medication administrationmeal preparationtransportpurchasessocial supportrecord keeping and reportingTo join our team you must have thefollowing: Australian Residency status or valid Australian workingrightsA Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care orDisability), or currently working towards one.Experience in the Disability IndustryA current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence andan insured, reliable motor vehicleA current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable PeopleregistrationA National Police Check (Working with vulnerablepeoples)IMPORTANT Successful applicants are required to have an AnglicareTasmania assessed medical before commencement.On commencement successful applicants will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
