As a Support Worker, you will be trained to support people with complex disabilities to live independently, achieve their goals and provide support to enable them to have a positive impact in their local communities.    The position As a support worker at Centacare you will be working within the community and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of our clients such as providing personal care, meal preparation, domestic assistance (including light household cleaning), social support, transport, and personal development. You'll get to know your clients well, understanding their needs, preferences and aspirations, so you can support them to achieve what's important to them.   Our goal is provide our clients with high quality, individualised support. We're looking for people who have experience in supporting people with disability and want to make a difference in the lives of others. We currently have casual positions available in Kingaroy and surrounding area.   Certificate III Individual Support/Disability or studying towards the qualification highly regarded for these positions.    What makes a great Support Worker? Be eligible to work in Australia Current "C" class QLD driver's licence A roadworthy, registered and insured vehicle Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or current Yellow Card) National Police check A First Aid/CPR Certificate NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate "Quality, Safety and You"   How much will you get paid? You will be paid in accordance with our Collective Agreement with a pay rate between $36.3281 - $37.7700/hr depending on your qualifications and previous experience. Sleepover allowances start at $101.30 for a weekday sleepover to $126.63 for a weekend sleepover.   Centacare has standards of conduct for employees and volunteers to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Our commitment to these standards requires that we conduct background referencing for all persons who will engage in direct and regular involvement with children, young people and/or vulnerable.
