We are seeking a reliable Disability Support Worker to assist an older male client in Toowoomba. This role involves both personal care and recreational support, ensuring the client's well-being and comfort. The position is casual-permanent, with flexible shifts available throughout the week, making it ideal for a local candidate who can easily travel to and from shifts. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications, in accordance with the Fair Trading Award, with penalty rates for evening, weekend, nighttime, and public holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the client with personal care tasks, including meal preparation, feeding, showering, and toileting.Maintain a clean and tidy living environment.Spend recreational time with the client, such as engaging in conversations, watching sports, and playing card or board games.Be available for additional shifts when regular staff are unable to attend.Shifts Available: Monday: 07:00 - 09:00Tuesday: 07:00 - 09:00, 11:00 - 13:00, 15:00 - 17:00Thursday: 11:00 - 13:00, 15:00 - 17:00Every second Saturday: 07:00 - 09:00, 11:00 - 13:00, 15:00 - 17:00Requirements: Relevant experience in disability support or caregiving.Ability to assist with personal care and domestic tasks.Friendly, patient, and able to engage in recreational activities.Must be reliable and able to travel between shifts.To apply, please submit your resume outlining your experience and availability.
