About the role As a disability support worker with our organisation, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals with disabilities to help them lead fulfilling lives. We are looking for dedicated support workers to join our Melbourne team to assist clients in their homes and access the community. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Providing personalised care and support based on individual needs and preferences. Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, community access, and general day-to-day activities. Building meaningful relationships with clients to foster trust and communication. Promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve their goals. What you bring Previous experience in disability support or a related field is preferred, but not required. Completed qualification of minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (Ageing and Disability). Current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable car. NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one. Compassion, empathy, and patience in working with individuals with disabilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to work independently and effectively manage time. Proficiency in the use of technology such as smartphones, email, and internet. A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
