About the role We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team at The Coppel & Piekarski Family Disability Respite Centre in Caulfield. This is an exciting career opportunity that involves fostering empowerment and providing person-centred active support for adults and children living with a disability.
Within your new role: Establish and maintain a supportive environment for people using a person-centred active support model Facilitate and support clients in all aspects of daily living Promote opportunities for skill development and community access Contribute to the plans and outcomes for clients, programs, and activities Maintain effective interpersonal communications with clients, colleagues, and family members Regularly update client reports and relevant records Support children's holiday groups What you will bring: Certificate IV in Disability (Essential) Experience supporting persons with disability Proven understanding of person-centred approach and positive behavior supports Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team The ability to contribute to the delivery of an outstanding customer experience The ability to self-manage and monitor your work schedule Commitment to the delivery of timely and punctual work performance The benefits of working at Jewish Care Victoria Generous not-for-profit salary packaging to increase your take home pay!
