Support Worker to assist a customer to become more independent, in their own home and in the community.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbiesCoaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skillsAdministering medication and adherence to individual support plansCompleting clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reportsProviding personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when requiredHelping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activitiesMake It Matter – What you will bring to make a difference in other's lives Be willing to be work a variety of shifts which includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekendsVersatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customersCurrent driver's license (mandatory requirement)Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003Up to date Covid VaccinationsFormal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageousFor more information on these requirements, please clickHERE.
