Long and short shifts Our matching process is designed to build long term relationships between support workers and participants Ongoing support from the entire ILV team Extensive in-person and onsite training as required The role may involve: Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance) Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists) Transportation and supporting social engagement Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning Our ideal candidate will have: Professional or lived experience supporting someonewith a disability Experience in providing high level care Experience using a hoist Flexible and good availability Essential criteria: An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach A valid driver's license NDIS Worker Screening Check The legal right to work in Australia Current Police Check Current CPR & First Aid certificate or willing to obtain Excellent communication skills A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
