About the role Join the team at Professional Health Care Services' as a Disability Support Worker based in Blacktown and Western Sydney, NSW. In this casual role, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients with a range of disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
What you'll be doing Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks Provide companionship and engage clients in recreational and social activities Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client right's policies including privacy and confidentiality. Support clients to access the community and participate in educational, vocational, or leisure pursuits Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their needs are met Maintain accurate records and documentation Liaise with families, carers, and other professionals as required Keep them self fully informed of the contents of the NDIS system and apply it to daily work Participate in trainings provided by the RNs and positive behaviour support practitioners What we're looking for A relevant tertiary qualification in disability, community services, or a related field Experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a support worker or care role Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to promoting the independence and wellbeing of clients Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Current First Aid certificate and driver's licence What we offer At Professional Health Care Services', we are committed to providing a supportive and flexible work environment.
