About the role: Our Disability Support Workers use a person-centred approach to the care given to our participants.
The ability for our participants to have choice, respect and a focus on their strengths, abilities and skills is important to all of us at CatholicCare.
As a Support Worker you will be ensuring that people with disabilities lived meaningful lives and achieve the best they can do.
We have casual shifts that will be across our supported independent living (SIL) homes, Day, Afternoon and Community Programs located in Lindfield, Wahroonga and Waitara.
You will need to be able to work a range of shifts from mornings, afternoons, late evenings, and sleepovers.
We have shifts available from Monday right through to Sunday.
The roles are paid at the SCHADS level 2.1 $41.76 per hour (includes casual loading).
Duties: Using individual support plans to ensure participants are goals are being met.
Providing personal care activities provided with dignity, compassion and respect.
Assisting with community participation and ensuring participants having meaningful social interactions.
Ensuring familiarity with the participant's profile and always carry their emergency plan.
Supporting our participants with daily living skills such as meal preparation, cooking and cleaning.
Administering and management medication as needed.
Interacting positively with participants, families, carers, stakeholders and your team members.
Requirements Experience using a person-centred approach within a disability environment.
Qualifications in appropriate areas desirable.
NSW Driver's Licence and access to insured vehicle.
Employee working with children's check.
NDIS Workers Check and completion of NDIS worker orientation module.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
