About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to support a young lady with complex needs in a robust home and within the community.
This part-time position is located in West Rockhampton and requires around-the-clock 1 to 1 and 2 to 1 support, including sleepovers.
You will support a range of high needs and complex situations, being the forefront of delivering exceptional care and innovative strategies to help the customer overcome daily challenges and achieve full potential.

Responsibilities also include: Implementing Positive Behavioural Support Plans Implementing authorised Restrictive Practices within the PBSP with a view to phasing out. Maintaining effective communication and strong relationships with key stakeholders. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Performing housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and managing laundry. Administer medications and manage medical appointments as required. Provide transportation assistance for community access and engagement activities. Maintain accurate records of support provided, including progress notes and incident reports. Prioritising workloads & responding to emergent situation. Attend all ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge. What we are looking for: Flexible availability Minimum of 1 year of experience in the disability sector, providing services to individuals with complex needs Experience with implementing PBSP plans, Restrictive Practices and MAYBO physical intervention techniques Requirements The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain;
