Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.
The Role:
We are currently looking for a Disability Support Worker for ongoing work, to partner with female participant in her 20's who has a young child and is based in Mackay, QLD. Our participant has sustained a spinal cord injury which has resulted in limited mobility and the need for 24/7 care.
Due the complexity of the participant, only candidates with high-level care experience will be considered (Bowel care, catheter care, hoisting etc)
There are multiple shifts available;
Monday to Sunday: 6am-4pm
Monday to Sunday: 4pm-6am
*Inactive sleepovers commence at 10pm
Pay Rates: Day - $43.75 per hourEvening - $48.13 per hourInactive sleepover allowance - $158Saturday - $54.25 per hourSunday - $69.75 per hour$0.96 travel allowance (applies only when travelling with participant to and from medical/rehab appointments)Key Responsibilities: Assistance with personal careBowel therapy (administering enema and digital stimulation)Supervision and assistance to participant when caring for her young child (bathing, drying, changing etc)Completing skin checksAdministering MedicationAssistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparationAssistance with Health & Rehab exercisesCommunity access + rehab appointmentsSkills & Experiences: Australian Driver LicenceCurrent National Police ClearanceCurrent Blue CardCurrent Yellow CardFirst Aid & CPR CertificateNDIS Worker Orientation ModuleReliable, proactive, and positive attitudeMust be available for immediate startIf you meet the above criteria and are interested in the role, please "Apply" now!
