The Role:
We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to support our female participant based in Bowral, NSW.
She has epilepsy and a spinal cord injury due to an accident.
She has an assistance dog, and it is imperative that you do not engage with the dog in any way (including talking to, waving to, or making eye contact with).
She is also immunocompromised, so hand hygiene is of the utmost importance.
Our participant requires support from Monday to Sunday (please note: flexibility with shifts is required as shift times may be altered slightly depending on the participant's needs/morning appointments).
Shifts Available:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 15:30 - 19:30
Pay Rates: Day - $38.75 per hourAfternoon - $42.625 per hourSaturday - $54.25 per hourSunday - $69.75 per hourKey Responsibilities: Assisting with shopping, general tidying, cleaning, and laundry tasks.Assisting with cooking, meal preparation, carrying items around the home, and providing general supervision of mobility and personal care if required.Basic protective preventive dressing on one foot.Assisting in doctor's appointments.Skills & Experiences: Reliable, proactive, and positive attitude.NDIS Effective Communication Module.NDIS Worker Orientation Module.Current National Police Clearance.First Aid & CPR Certificate.Australian Driver Licence and own vehicle.Current WWCC.Hand Hygiene Training Certificate.Please note: Two current references are required.
