Disability Support Worker – Dignity Direct Supports Location: Launceston & North East SuburbsEmployment Type: Casual / Part-time
About Us:Dignity Direct Supports is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing high-quality, person-centered care and skill-building experiences. Through our training café and community initiatives, we help participants gain confidence, independence, and essential work skills in a supportive environment.
About the Role:We are seeking dedicated and skilled Disability Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities in daily activities, promote independence, and assist in their personal development. You'll also work in our training café, helping participants develop work-related skills.
Minimum Requirements: First Aid and CPR Certification – Current and up-to-dateMedication Endorsement – Ability to safely administer medications as requiredWorking with Vulnerable People (WWVP) CardAustralian Driving License – With a reliable vehicle (travel allowance provided)Experience in Bowel Care – Skilled and comfortable with bowel care proceduresKey Responsibilities: Provide respectful and empowering support to participants in their daily activities, including personal care, skill-building, and community engagementAssist participants in our café setting, guiding them through job tasks and promoting their confidence and independenceAdminister medication, ensure participants' safety, and manage emergency situations as neededMaintain accurate records and documentation, complying with NDIS guidelinesCollaborate with job coaches and other staff to deliver a holistic and supportive programAbout You: Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high-quality careStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in disability support, especially in personal care and skill developmentKnowledge of SCHADS Award and NDIS requirements is a plusCompetitive pay under SCHADS Home Care Award with travel reimbursementFlexible hours with room for professional growthAn inclusive and supportive work cultureThe chance to make a meaningful impact in a unique, community-focused settingHow to Apply:If you're passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities and meet our essential requirements, we would love to hear from you!
