Position
With two offices located in Katherine & Darwin, JMJ Disability Serv Pty Ltd is looking for a permanent full-time Disability Support Worker.
Annual salary ranges from $63,000.00 to $69,999.00 relevant to their qualifications and demonstrated experience.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Certificate/Diploma equivalent in Individual Support/Community Services or other relevant qualification & minimum 1-year (20 hours per week or more) post-qualification work experience; OR minimum 2-year full-time work experience if no relevant qualification.
Experience in the delivery of personal care services and/or challenging behaviours is viewed favourably.
Valid full Driver's License.
A cleared Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Clearance.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Implement training and support services aimed at maximizing the living, employment, social, and recreational skills of people with a disability.
Promote community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.
Contribute to the development of service practice through regular staff meetings, planning processes, and policy reviews.
Ensure all service delivery is in line with the Policies and Procedures of JMJ Disability Services.
Support clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in-home support, and community access.
Assist clients in accessing activities and outings in the community.
Provide direct care assistance to each client in accordance with their service plan and as directed by the Director.
Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures, and client rights policies including privacy and confidentiality.
