Job no: 494569 Work type: Permanent Location: Hobart Categories: Disability Support: Day Programs + Community Access Title: Disability Support Worker Employment: Part time (4-5 days a week) Salary: $33.41 - $36.46 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience) Location: Moonah, TAS We are looking for empathetic disability support workers who take a person-centered approach when supporting people with disability.
In this role, you will be providing active support to some of our wonderful clients within our Day Programs, in Moonah. Our clients really enjoy participating in the activities that we have on offer, so we are looking for support workers who are also open to participating in these activities alongside our clients, including swimming, bowling, cooking, and catching public transport to access the community and various events.
You will be supporting and encouraging our clients to participate in a range of day-to-day activities based on their hobbies, interests, and goals set within their NDIS support plans.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role: Essential: The roster is Monday through Friday 9am – 3pm, 30 hours a week. Experience providing support to others: Disability, Aged Care, Community, or Allied Health. Willingness to actively participate in activities we provide to clients, including swimming and assisting clients access the community via public transport. Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +). Right to work in Australia. NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain. Valid First Aid & CPR. Highly regarded and desirable: A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it. Auslan skills, or a willingness to learn.
