Support individuals with disabilities to achieve independence Engage in meaningful activities and skill-building opportunities Provide personal care and medication assistance Work within a 24/7 roster to support clients in their daily lives The Disability Trust is a leading provider of disability support services dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.We are committed to providing high-quality care and support and place high value into staff that bring creativity, enthusiasm and passion through person-centred support across all domains of life to ensure quality of life, dignity, respect and inclusion.As a Disability Support Worker within our new Supported Independent Living facility located in Goulburn you will be responsible for: Assisting with domestic duties, including cooking and cleaning Supporting clients in attending work, appointments, and social events Providing personal care such as showering, toileting, and dressing Administering and organising medication Engaging in skill-building activities individually and in groups What do I need to succeed in the role?We are looking for candidates who possess: A genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with new people An understanding of privacy and confidentiality Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and NSW Working with Children Check Evidence of at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Flexibility to work a 24-hour rotating roster Salary & Benefits We offer a competitive part-time hourly rate between $32.21 and $35.14 (plus superannuation) based on experience and qualifications.We also have casual positions available with an hourly rate starting at $40.26 per hour alongside: A fully paid onboarding program designed to ensure your success with access to ongoing professional development, provided by in-house experts.5 weeks' annual leave (one extra week of play!)Generous salary packaging options (including tax-free earnings of up to $15,900 per year) Reward and recognition programs Flexible public holiday leave options for cultural or religious events If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, we invite you to join our team at The Disability Trust.Apply now!Applications close 5.00pm, Friday 28 June 2024.Suitable candidates may be contacted as applications are received.Apply Now
