The Disability Trust have a range of rewarding part-time and causal vacancies as a Disability Support Worker across the Snowy Monaro region. Our team are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who have a passion for helping people with disability along with their families across a range of community based services and home & living supports.  The Role You will be part of a dynamic team delivering person-centred support across all domains of life to ensure quality of life, dignity, respect and inclusion. Our supports have a strong focus on building independent living skills and increasing social connections, participation in community activities and participation in employment. Delivering personal care to participants in their home and within the community Supporting independence in the home with domestic duties Supporting attendance at work, appointments, community-based events and connections with family and friends Engaging in skill building activities, both individually and in a group setting Offering meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals Working shifts across a 24/7 roster which includes morning, afternoon, evenings and overnights What we are looking for A genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disability Initiative and drive to work collaboratively with participants and your team Creativity to promote and support community contribution A current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Demonstrated awareness of disability Availability to work over a 24-hour rotating roster in alignment with our service offerings To be successful in the role, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC), and evidence of at least two (2) doses of a COVID-19 vaccination before commencing. While a current First Aid Certificate is preferred, we can support you in obtaining and maintaining a valid certification throughout your career.
