The Opportunity:

This position offers opportunity to provide supports to participants partaking in ConnectGV's Residential, Day and Outreach Services. You will play a vital role in enriching the lives of participants through engaging activities and supported independent living. This unique opportunity allows you to make a positive impact on individuals with disabilities while enjoying the flexibility of casual employment.


Core Responsibilities: Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in their daily living activities, personal care, and community participation.Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes independence, dignity, and respect for each individual.Collaborate with clients, their families, and other support professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, achievements, and any incidents in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.Continuously update your skills and knowledge through training and professional development Qualifications & Experience: A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature to provide the best possible care and support.Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations.Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (preferred but not essential).Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).Valid driver's license Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check.NDIS 'New Worker Orientation' module (prior to appointment).Please note - ConnectGV may choose to interview candidates prior to the application closing date.
