Casual Disability Support Worker positions$33 - 35 per hour + 25% casual loading + super + salary packagingArarat locationWe are currently seeking Disability Support Workers who are passionate about working in the Disability sector to work within our Community & Disability Direct Care services.About the roleVMCH Disability Services provides statewide, high-quality services aimed at supporting individuals to remain independent within the community.Our Disability Support Workers (DSW) provide quality care and support to people with disabilities to create and live the lifestyle of their choosing while empowering them to have a voice and achieve their goals.
As a DSW you will work within our Disability Direct Care (DDC) services which may include:Providing individual client service delivery including personal care services and support with manual handlingPerform a range of domestic duties including cleaning, shopping and cookingAdministration duties – reporting, documentation, and assist to develop, review and update care plans that are achievable and client-focusedSuccessful candidates will be required to work a range of rostered shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, sleepovers and active nights and full day shifts depending on the setting they are working within.Skills & ExperienceYou will have demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working within disability or a similar care role (i.e.
Aged Care, At-home Community Aged Care).
This is a perfect opportunity for a student who has recently completed their studies within a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Disability or is currently completing their certificate.
Furthermore, you will have:Strong communication skills – both verbal and writtenBasic level of computer and administration skillsCurrent Level 2 First Aid and CPR CertificateCurrent valid Driver's Licence, Car Insurance and Car RegistrationNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children's Check (WWCC)Relevant flu vaccination for 2022 and COVID-19 vaccination including 3rd boosterAbout usHere at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support.
