Disability Support Worker | Individual SupportsKarrathaCasual roleOwn It – How we get the job doneLifestyle Solutions provide innovative and flexible person-centred support for people living with a disability. Support Workers assist customers to become more independent, in their own homes and in the community.As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:Mentoring and skill development – guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbiesCoaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skillsAdministering medication and adherence to individual support plansCompleting clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reportsProviding personal care such as toileting, showering, feeding and dressing when requiredHelping customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activitiesMake It Matter – What you will bring to make a difference in other's livesBe willing to work short shifts in the range of 2-5 hours which includes mornings, afternoons and occasional weekend shiftsVersatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customersCurrent driver's license and full access to an insured vehicle for transportation of customers if required (mandatory requirements)Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain)Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (or be willing to obtain)Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageousKeep Calm and Be Happy – How you will interact with people and other benefitsJoining Lifestyle Solutions will give you the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of your customers.
