As a Disability Support Worker at Vivability, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
You will provide compassionate care and support, promoting independence, and facilitating personal growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Personal Care: Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as personal care, bathing, dressing, and grooming.Emotional Support: Providing companionship and a listening ear to clients, helping them build social connections.Medication Management: Administering and documenting medication as prescribed.Assistance with Mobility: Assisting clients with mobility aids and helping them move safely.Household Tasks: Supporting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other household chores.Transportation: Safely transporting clients to appointments, activities, and outings.Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client care and progress.Collaboration: Working closely with other team members, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure comprehensive care.Requirements: Compassion and empathy for individuals with disabilities, and their families.High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in disability support are a plus.Clear criminal background check and valid driver's license.Excellent communication skills.Ability to follow care plans and work independently.Physical stamina and ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients when necessary.Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.A supportive and inclusive work environment.The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.How to Apply: If you are a caring and dedicated individual who is committed to helping others lead fulfilling lives, we encourage you to apply.
