Caring Humanity Pty Ltd is an NDIS registered organisation looking for dedicated disability Support Workers for the Canberra region as we are growing.
Female support worker preferred as per client's preference; however, applications will be considered for male/female applicants for other clients.
Employment will commence ASAP if you are successful.

DUTY STATEMENT: Provide help and assistance to improve participant's daily living skills.
Participants have low to high care/complex care needs.
Provide practical assistance to people while they are developing their independent living skills.
Work alongside people in all phases of their recovery journey.
Work with people to access services and activities in the community.
Work as part of a team to ensure continuity and consistency of support to participants.
Adhere to administrative procedures including data collection and maintenance of participant records.
Undertake tasks as directed by Service Manager/Team Leader.
Attend all staff meetings and training.
Requirements for Employment: Minimum Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Disability/Community Services/Nursing background will be highly regarded.
A current Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT).
A valid National Police Check (issued within 6-month period) or willing to undergo a National Police Check.
Certificate to confirm that NDIS Worker Orientation is completed.
Current first aid certificate.
A current full Driver Licence and a reliable, comprehensive insured vehicle.
Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.
DESIRABLE: Minimum 1 year of work experience in disability support services.
Good understanding and capacity to work with Physical and Intellectual disabilities.
Experience in working with highly challenging participants.
Knowledge of NDIS.
Must have working rights in Australia (student visa/Australian Permanent residency/Australian Citizenship).
We are looking for passionate individuals wanting to expand on previous experience as a Disability Support Worker by providing high levels of engagement and care, especially those experienced in complex care (PEG feeding, Catheter care, Bowel care), clients with behaviours of concern, and mental health support.
