Disability Support Worker Angel Holy Homes Position: Full time permanent Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation About us Angel Holy Homes is a Registered NDIS Provider, with a vision and goal to empower people for better living.
We achieve this by offering client-centered support to reach their individual goals and live independently.
We also specialise in building homes for NDIS participants with high-physical support (HPS).
Our services are available across South Australia.
Role Description: As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide tailored care services to our clients, ensuring their comfort and independence.
From personal care and mobility assistance to social support and community access, your role will encompass a range of services.
You'll be the listening ear, the caring presence, and the emotional support our clients need.
Additionally, you'll assist with domestic tasks and help maintain relationships and goals.
Assisting with personal care needs such as showering, dressing, toileting, eating/drinking; Transportation to, and assistance with, outings such as shopping or social activities; Transportation to medical appointments; Implementing tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professional; Maintaining and monitoring health and behaviour changes on an ongoing basis; Building rapport and collaborating effectively to establish positive relationships.
Personal Care.
Domestic Assistance, Meal preparation and serving.
Medication prompting and Social Support.
Are reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
Always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
Core capabilities of successful candidates: Background in aged care, disability support, or home and community care preferred.
Previous experience with repetitive tasks.
Ability to follow instruction.
Reliable and motivated.
Good level of fitness.
Strong team work abilities.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability, Nursing Students who have completed their first year placement.
Car and Drivers license are a must.
Current CPR & Manual Handling certification or willingness to obtain.
NDIS Worker Screening Check or a willingness to obtain one.
Skills required for the role Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience along with formal qualifications as mentioned above Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
