You will work in the community providing a range of supports to participants to enable them to achieve their personal goals and build their independence.You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of participants with different support needs including complex needs, in addition to building improved daily living skills, social and community participation, personal care, and domestic support.Details of the roleType: In-home care support and community access.Employment: Casual roles availableSalary: $30 to $45 per hour (Based on qualifications and experience)Location: Western Suburbs Melbourne (Tarneit, Melton, Kurunjang, Werribee, Point Cook)Mandatory:NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or Working with Children Check.Drivers license and personal vehicle.Supporting participants in achieving their NDIS Goals while maintaining dignity and respect.Maintaining an understanding of participants' needs and overall well-being, with a focus on high-care support requirements.Providing personal support, including medication administration, personal hygiene, and ensuring an acceptable level of appearance for their chosen activities.Communicating and engaging with participants in a meaningful and relevant manner, while also encouraging them to interact with others.Assisting with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and social skills.Facilitating community participation by accompanying participants to activities and outings.Ensuring accurate documentation and accountability of all supports and services provided through our rostering app, case notes, and incident reporting.Performing basic housework tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation.Implementing goals, as required.Essential for the role:Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field.Experience working one-on-one with people with disabilities who may have complex medical needs.Experience working 1:1 with people with disabilities who may present with challenging behaviours.A reliable vehicle with car insurance.Current NDIS Worker Screening, or willingness to obtain one.A valid First-Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one.Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one.Values that align with Hi Five Community Services.Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening.Problem-solving abilities and a creative, innovative mindset.Flexible availability to work a range of shifts during the week, overnight, and occasional weekends.If you like the sound of this role, we'd love to hear from you!
