We are in search of Disability Support Workers (DSWs) to support our participants in Alice Springs, NT. The DSW will implement and monitor the participants care plan, and work as an effective member of a team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes.
Essential Selection Criteria Summary: Relevant qualification to a minimum level of Certificate III (such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar) or 12 or more months relevant experience Valid unrestricted (open) Northern Territory Driver's License Valid Northern Territory Working with Children Check (Ochre Card) Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Valid Provide First Aid and Provide CPR Certificate NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' Training Certificate (Free online training located on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission website) Demonstrated suitable literacy, numeracy and typing skills, and proven ability to record timely progress notes which accurately detail care/supports you have provided to someone in a professional setting Demonstrated excellent customer service, cross-cultural communication, and interpersonal skills Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements Reference and suitability clearances required by legislation must be completed and maintained throughout employment.
