Description Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker at Being Humane Pty Ltd Being Humane Pty Ltd, based in Canberra, Australia, is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers on a casual basis.
As a Disability Support Worker with us, you'll play an integral role in empowering individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
You'll work closely with clients, providing assistance in daily tasks, promoting social inclusion, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks, including grooming, mobility assistance, and meal preparation. Encourage and support participation in community and recreational activities, enhancing social and life skills. Ensure clients' health and safety while promoting independence in all activities. Maintain accurate client records and progress reports. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Collaborate with other team members to deliver person-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual. To Be Successful in This Role: A genuine passion for supporting others and a commitment to making a positive impact on people's lives. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and families. Ability to work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings. Previous experience in disability support is preferred, but we offer comprehensive training and professional development for the right candidates. Requirements: A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (or working towards). Current First Aid and CPR certification. National Police Check clearance.
