Experienced with behavioural support plans and complex disability care, you are passionate about providing a high quality of care.
You are proficient in English reading and writing and can build fast rapport with multiple clients.
Celebrating the little wins comes naturally to you and you are passionate with assisting others to make small improvements to reach their goals.
About the role Working within a high care house (including complex behaviours) you will provide the highest standard of care to individuals with disabilities.
As a Disability Support Worker you will provide person-centred care to support our complex clients with various aspects of their daily living.
Most importantly, you'll be supporting clients to achieve goals that matter to them.
In an average day you will undertake:
Personal care inclusive of bowel stimulation and catheter flushingBlood pressure monitoringHigh level of manual handling (experience required in the use of hoists and slings)Complex behavioural issues (knowledge of behavioural support required)Food preparationMedication administrationWriting of case notesAbout Healthscope Healthscope Independence Services works to help people living with a disability to get the most out of life.
