Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF)
DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.
Job DescriptionThe Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Disability Support Staff member.
This is a permanent, full-time position and will be in Perth or Mandurah
As a Disability Support Staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Assisting individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household choresSupporting individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activitiesImplementing personalised support plans to meet the specific needs of each individualProviding emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-beingMonitoring and documenting the progress of individuals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisorCollaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and external agencies to ensure personalised care for individuals with disabilitiesAdhering to all organisationpolicies, procedures, and standards of careThe ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Experience in disability support or a related field is desirable.
