Job DescriptionAs a Staff member at Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to individuals with disabilities in the Perth and Mandura Area.
A position within the Support Staff department offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
Key Responsibilities: Providing personalised care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.Supporting individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance.Assisting in the implementation of individual support plans and monitoring progress towards set goals.Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to promote social inclusion and overall well-being.Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, progress, and any incidents or concerns that may arise.Main Tasks: Delivering high-quality care and support services tailored to each individual's specific needs and preferences.Collaborating with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective coordination of care for clients.Upholding confidentiality, dignity, and respect for all individuals while promoting independence and self-determination.Responding promptly to emergency situations or challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques as per established protocols.Ideally you will possess the: Ability to provide physical and emotional support to individuals with disabilities.Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals with diverse needs and abilities.Experience working with people with disabilities in a support capacity.Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations related to disability support services.Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the evolving needs of the individuals being supported.Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and understanding of disability rights and advocacy.Ability to prepare and cook meals to the participant requirements.Experience in assisting participants with hydrotherapy sessions.Desired Skills and ExperienceTo apply for this position, it is a requirement to have a current:
