LME Care, a leading disability support provider in Brisbane, is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Services Officer to join our team.

As a Disability Support Services Officer you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to participate in community activities, develop social connections, and pursue their interests and hobbies.
You will support clients in various settings, including recreational activities, educational programs, and vocational opportunities.
Responsibilities Assist clients with disabilities to access the community and engage in social activities Support clients in developing social skills and building meaningful relationships Collaborate with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to create individualized support plans Provide transportation and accompany clients to community outings and appointments Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during community activities Assist clients in developing and maintaining life skills Promote independence and empower clients to make choices Document client progress and report any concerns to the relevant team members Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations You will excel in this role, if making a different a direct difference drives you and you appreciate the diversity of multiple shorter shifts with the willingness to accept more shifts as participants come onboard.
Requirements Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a related field (will accept enrolled students) Previous experience in similar role preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Compassionate, patient, and respectful towards clients Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and undergo a criminal record check Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings First aid and CPR certification preferred Experience in supporting individuals with complex needs is highly desirable Medically trained personal and students ie Nurses, AIN, Paramedics are encouraged to apply Remuneration: SCHADS Award - Social & Community Services $64,000 - $74,000 per annum
