Your Role as a Champion of Change As a Disability Support Mentor, you'll be more than just a support worker – you'll be a coach, an advocate, and a catalyst for positive change.
Working one-on-one with participants, you'll help them discover their talents, build their confidence, and achieve their employment goals.
What You'll Do Empower Through Guidance: Partner with participants to uncover their unique strengths and develop personalised pathways to employment successCreate Lasting Change: Use our proven Discovery Process to identify each participant's interests and abilities, then craft custom employment solutions that truly fitBuild Valuable Connections: Develop strong relationships with local employers and community partners to create life-changing employment opportunitiesLead the Way: Work both independently and collaboratively to create innovative support strategiesDrive Success: Safely transport participants and ensure they have the support needed to thrive in their employment journeyWhat You'll Bring Essential Qualifications Current Driver's License and own vehicleNDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)National Police Clearance (within the last 3 months)Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation module (or willingness to obtain)Key Attributes A passionate, enthusiastic approach and openness to new ideasFlexibility to adapt to changing situations and participant needsStrong person-centered mindset with a solutions-focused approachAbility to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environmentExcellence in receiving and implementing feedbackSkill in identifying patterns and translating specific experiences into broader capabilitiesStrong analytical abilities to recognise vocational themes and opportunitiesDeep connection to and knowledge of the local Esperance communityAbout Forrest Personnel For nearly 40 years, Forrest Personnel has been Western Australia's leading community employment specialist.
