You'll work closely with clients, their families, and a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to empower individuals to reach their potential and promote independence.Key Responsibilities:Build positive relationships with clients, their families, carers, and allied health teams, fostering a collaborative approach to achieve successful outcomes.Deliver direct behavioural therapy to clients under the guidance of Senior Therapists and Behaviour Analysts, ensuring individual needs are met.Implement and track behavioural programs using measurement techniques (e.g., frequency, duration) to monitor progress and make informed adjustments.Record data accurately and update progress graphs to support client evaluations.Clearly describe observed behaviours and environmental factors in measurable terms to inform therapy plans.Understand the key elements of written skill acquisition plans and implement them effectively.Prepare materials and resources for each session, ensuring activities align with each client's tailored plan.Apply evidence-based teaching techniques such as discrete-trial teaching and naturalistic teaching (e.g., incidental teaching) to encourage skill development.Break complex skills into smaller, manageable steps using task-analysed chaining techniques.Use prompting and fading strategies to help clients gain new skills and foster independence.Facilitate the generalisation of learned skills across different settings to support long-term success.Implement behaviour-shaping techniques and token economy systems to reinforce positive behaviour.Develop a solid understanding of behaviour reduction plans, ensuring all interventions are ethical and effective.Document session activities with clear, objective notes in line with regulatory and organisational standards.Prepare all resources for therapy sessions, ensuring they meet each client's developmental and behavioural needs.Key Skills:Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build positive relationships with clients, families, carers, and allied health teams.Proficiency in delivering direct behavioural therapy using evidence-based techniques like discrete-trial teaching and naturalistic teaching, under the guidance of senior therapists.Strong ability to accurately collect, record, and analyse behavioural data to monitor progress and inform therapy adjustments.Experience in implementing written skill acquisition plans, breaking complex skills into manageable steps, and using prompting and fading strategies.Ability to adapt therapy sessions and make informed adjustments to meet individual client needs, ensuring successful skill development and behaviour management.Qualification & ExperienceAssociate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Childhood Development, Disability Studies, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Disability Services Officer (Behavioural Focus) role with formal qualifications, or 3 years' experience without formal qualifications.Proven experience in Autism support or applied behaviour analysis is essential.About MICAH Inclusion Pty Ltd (ABN 31 643 149 268)MICAH Inclusion was founded in 2019 by Liz Martin, an Autistic mother of two Autistic children, a Teacher, and a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst.
