You will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the delivery of quality disability support services, ensuring that the needs of our supported independent living (SIL) and community clients are met.
You will set annual operational targets and monitor monthly outcomes within all operational areas.
This role will entail traveling across multiple sites, and you will be provided with a pool car, work phone, and laptop.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Oversee the entire service delivery process, ensuring all services remain compliant with all relevant legislation and service agreements, with a particular focus on supported independent living and out-of-home care services.Provide strategic direction and contribute to the development and implementation of Choices and Rights strategy.Build the portfolio of the business through excellent provision of disability support services and excellent people management skills.Optimise the brand of the business through effective marketing initiatives and key community engagement policies.Develop the financial capability of business leaders through training to ensure operational viability.Understand the marketing space and implement initiatives to capitalise on marketing opportunities.Build new relationships and maintain community partnerships with government and peer organisations.Understand the needs of people living with disabilities, respect their choice and control, and their human rights.Drive a culture where individuals are valued and understood, and continuous improvement is encouraged in all operational facets.Supervise the performance of senior managers; coaching, mentoring, and supervising direct reports to enable them to deliver on documented key performance indicators (KPIs).Actively engage and partner with funding bodies including the Department of Health and Human Services and the National Disability Insurance Agency.Participate in and supervise the On-Call roster.Instill a culture of staff wellbeing and safety into all operational areas.You will work in close liaison with the director with the ability to cover in their absence to ensure the continuation of quality delivery of professional disability services.Education and experienceBachelor level qualification in Nursing, community services, social sciences, or related disciplines.Advanced knowledge of the disability industry, relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and industry trends.Prior industry experience in workforce planning and change management.Effective interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate complex matters and resolve conflict.Demonstrated effective people leadership including the management of workplace culture, performance matters, complaints, and concerns.Knowledge of the NDIS industry and relevant legislation.Your application will include the following questions:How many years of people management experience do you have?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as an operations manager?Do you have a current NDIS Worker Screening Check?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you have experience preparing work rosters?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?
