Directors, Chief Information Officer DivisionYou will join a team of highly motivated and collaborative professionals that work in the Enterprise Transformation Group (ETG). The ETG is made up of two Divisions, the Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) and the Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Division (ESTD), that have been established to drive the AEC's transformation agenda, and to deliver the Election Systems Modernisation Program (Indigo Program) on behalf of the agency. The ETG is also responsible for delivering a range of ICT services to the agency including infrastructure, service operations and architecture.There is a large focus on integrity, transparency and accountability in ETG. These roles will also help promote transparency and accountability in everything that we do.Alongside the cultural responsibilities, the AEC is committed to the APS values of being impartial, committed to service, accountable, respectful and ethical.The OpportunitiesDirector, IT Service Operations and Management (Canberra-based)The IT Service Operations and Management Section sits within Chief Technology Officer Branch (CTOB) in CIOD and is responsible for the management and problem resolution of the agency's ICT infrastructure, including managing the AEC Service Desk, Change Board, service transition and managing VIP support.We are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to lead and manage the IT Service Operations and Management Section, including influencing the strategic direction and plans for the work area and contributing to agency-wide strategic planning.The Director is responsible for undertaking work with a high level of complexity, utilising advanced knowledge to provide strategic agency level advice and guidance on efficient and effective management of the section. During electoral events, this role may take on additional duties to support the delivery of these events and may also experience a significantly increased workload.IT Transformation Program Delivery Director, Indigo Delivery BranchThe Indigo Delivery Branch sits within CIOD and is responsible for the IT delivery aspects of the Indigo Program. The branch has a diverse range of IT skillsets and will be delivering a modernisation agenda that will see the AEC transition away from monolithic legacy IT systems onto contemporary cloud-based platforms and applications.The program is looking for an individual with a strong IT program management background with demonstrated evidence of successful delivery experience, particularly in the Australian government context, and someone who can shape and take responsibility for managing the deliverables of the Indigo Program alongside a dedicated and skilled leadership group that spans across different functions from strategy, enablement, change and assurance.In conjunction with the Indigo leadership team, the Delivery Director oversees the work output and provides strategic leadership to Agile Delivery Teams (ADTs) comprised of Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Change Managers, Software Developers, Testers, Architects and Cyber Security Specialists.
