What will you be doing:We are currently looking for a Compliance Director to join Wholesale Banking on a full-time permanent basis to help realise our strategic objectives, build a strong risk and compliance culture by providing compliance advisory and compliance risk management support to our business across the Australian and New Zealand region.
Reporting to the Executive Director Wholesale Banking Non-Financial Risk and Control AU & NZ, this role will work closely with Line 1 Wholesale Banking business heads and Line 2 Compliance to facilitate and support the execution, maintenance and implementation of all compliance activities within Wholesale Banking. The right candidate for this role will be highly reliable, detail-focused with demonstrated experience as a generalist compliance risk professional (i.e. working knowledge of all, or most, compliance risks including privacy, record keeping, conflicts of interest, sanctions, money laundering & terrorism financing, competition etc). Compliance/Operational Risk Management experience will also be required as part of the role requires you to facilitate compliance risk self-assessments, controls testing and compliance incident and issue management.
Who are we looking for:To be successful in this role you would have strong experience in a compliance risk role, ideally within wholesale or an institutional environment in Line 1. You will be someone with a degree in business, finance, economics or law, and is comfortable working with senior executives, management and operational teams.
