THE JOB: The Director/Sr. Director/VP of Fieldwork oversees all Account Directors, who support entire client teams ("Stacks") typically managed by a Partner or Principal. Reporting to the Principal of Research Operations, this role manages both the Account Directors and their operational responsibilities for the stacks.
THE INDIVIDUAL WE'RE LOOKING FOR HAS: Experience with some combination of qualitative, quantitative, pricing, and project management market research processes Demonstrated internal and external relationship building Strong team management experiences across people, resource, and project components Understanding of how research is conducted in the context of different cultural landscapes and market environments and how that informs research design and execution PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Train the Account Director role from a small team and function to an integrated resource managing all day-to-day research operations Manage Account Directors, fieldwork processes, and tools Act as the point of contact for specified clients, handling enquiries, and responsible for overall project delivery Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and forecasting, with the support of senior team members; work with the accounting and bookkeeping functions to ensure accuracy in financial information concerning projects, including all pricing, billing, and some AR/AP Lead client meetings and proactively take next steps to move our fieldwork operations forward and set the firm up for success Develop and maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and colleagues/internal departments Maintain external vendor relationships, work with them to develop client proposals and oversee vendor work Proactively identifies product updates that reflect use requests, industry, market, and competitive trends Develop and share best practices with team members to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our processes Works independently, driving innovation through collaboration with internal and external partners The role requires a flexible schedule, assuming that most work will take place during US Eastern hours Travel for client work, meetings, of conferences, up to 10% MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Experience in market research, ideally with experience overseeing pricing, as well as both quantitative and qualitative fieldwork management, 6-8 years of applicable professional experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and the Google equivalents Highly organized with a keen attention to detail Excellent time management skills Superior communication skills Proactive and self-directed Creative and intellectually curious Quadrant Strategies was founded in 2015.
