ROLE PROFILE: The Commissioning and Performance Division is responsible for leading an integrated approach to funding and purchasing, performance management and broader service provider relationship management that supports improvement in health system effectiveness and efficiency in the interests of all South Australians.
The role of the Director, Strategic Projects is to provide leadership, strategic advice and to drive the delivery of key cross divisional projects and reform initiatives that support the division's strategic directions.
Working with the division's Senior Executive, the Director, Strategic Projects will lead and coordinate a range of cross divisional and intragovernmental reform projects that support long term system-wide financial sustainability, improved system performance and evidence-based commissioning.
This will include strategic coordination across the Performance and Commissioning Division and the wider department to bring together information and analysis to support the development of health service reform options to be progressed.
The Director will work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to formulate innovative strategies for DHW executive and government consideration and develop and oversee the implementation of key reform initiatives that progress these goals.
This role will leverage an understanding of the national reform agenda in health, as well as the regulatory and legal frameworks in which health systems operate to identify and drive reforms that support better outcomes for the SA community.
