Director, Strategic Communications and EngagementFull-time TemporaryDetails: Are you interested in communicating to the local community and stakeholders on our changing climate and a transition from gas to an all-electric future? This role may be for you. The ACT Government is looking for a Director, Strategic Communications and Engagement to lead the climate change and energy communication for our directorate. The successful applicant will be charged with leading a small team of communications professionals to roll out the recently released Integrated Energy Plan and our ongoing communications on the programs and supports available for our local community to help them in this ongoing transition.Eligibility/Other requirements:Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant experience managing communications and engagement teams is preferred.Proven experience in communications, exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and an interest in and understanding of local political issues.Accreditation under the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) is highly desirable.Notes: This is a temporary position available from 21 July 2024 to 07 February 2025. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
