As our journey continues following the welcoming of our new Chief Executive, we are now seeking a Director, Stakeholder Engagement and Influence to lead our efforts in building and maintaining robust relationship with key stakeholders, driving engagement, and supporting our strategic objectives.This exciting new position will be responsible for determining the most effective way to design, develop and deliver ONRSR's safety education and information programs whilst maintaining a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan for key rail safety issues and priorities. A crucial part of this role will lead the establishment and maintenance of partnerships with key stakeholders and position ONRSR as a leader of safety improvement within the rail industry.The Director Stakeholder Engagement & Influence will be instrumental in shaping and executing our stakeholder engagement strategy. Reporting directly into the Chief Executive this role will be responsible for establishing a program of forums for effective engagement with rail industry and its sectors, by creating a calendar of opportunities and events to engage with stakeholders throughout the year. Providing expert advice and direction to the Chief Executive on responses to issues or crisis management including how to present matters via communication channels and media management will also be a key feature of the role.About you – your impact and contributionAs our new Director, Stakeholder Engagement & Influence you will be able to provide expert advice and liaise with ministerial offices and departmental representation regarding the development of ministerial responses, briefings or the release of ONRSR safety material.You will have demonstrated experience for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies across traditional and digital channels, ensuring consistent and effective messaging. You will also have substantial experience in strategic communication, a deep understanding of various media platforms, and the ability to educate and inform diverse audiences.To be successful in this role you must have 5 years or more leading at a senior level and the capacity to share knowledge and provide coaching and mentoring to a small, dedicated team. You will be able to demonstrate your influencing and negotiation skills for the purpose of working towards mutually beneficial outcomes and resolving complex matters and minimising organisational risk.To be successful in the position you should also have:Substantial experience in senior leadership roles required to liaise with diverse stakeholders.Effective influencing and negotiation skills for the purpose of working towards mutually beneficial outcomes, resolving complex matters, gaining stakeholder support, and/or minimise organisational risks.Experience developing and implementing successful targeted stakeholder engagement programs.Solid understanding of public relations, online communication, social media, and multi-media platforms.Highly developed communication, liaison and interpersonal skills that reflect significant capacity to build and manage partnerships to achieve shared objectives.Our Organisation and CultureONRSR has the responsibility for regulatory oversight of rail safety throughout Australia.
