Director - Service Planning and Coordination
This is a 5 year fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated senior executive to lead strategies that improve delivery of teaching, learning and student support services across the public school system. The Department's Statewide Services division is committed to providing a transparent, streamlined, integrated and responsive model of service to better support school staff and student needs.
We want a leader with a deep understanding of the public school system and the needs of its school leaders and teachers, to ensure that services and support delivered by Statewide Services enables improved outcomes at the school and system level.
This multifaceted role will require you to:

About the Division Statewide Services encompasses both school and system–facing service delivery functions, providing the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those schools and students that need it most.
Service Delivery is the key interface with schools.
Its purpose is to plan, coordinate and deliver tiered and connected services that support schools and regions to improve student achievement.
About the Role As a key member of the Statewide Services' senior leadership team, the Director Service Planning and Coordination plays a central role in leading the improvement of services and supports to public schools in alignment with system strategies, directions and priorities.
The Director Service Planning and Coordination leads and oversees the systems, processes and teams that ensure that requests for assistance that are received from schools, including complex whole school and student requests, are responded to in a timely, effective and streamlined manner.
This involves the oversight and strategic leadership of requests for assistance from schools including needs assessment, service prioritisation, service negotiation and sequencing, case coordination, and monitoring of service outcomes.
This position also provides direction and strategic advice to ensure that Statewide Services leaders connect, tier and sequence services across the broad range of service areas and expertise within Statewide Services, including connecting this with other expert regional and/or external services as required.
The position works across the six key service areas of quality teaching, curriculum implementation, student engagement, student wellbeing, positive behaviour, and leadership to ensure that universal, targeted and intensive supports are coherent and accessible for schools.
