About the job CHEP Australia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Regional Procurement for the APAC region. This role involves leading the CHEP APAC Procurement team, implementing regional procurement strategies across Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Thailand, aligned with global strategic processes. The successful candidate will drive effective cost, risk, supply, and quality outcomes across the APAC procurement spend, managing a significant annual spend across 36 locations in four countries.
This role is based in Macquarie Park, Australia, and reports directly to the SVP Global Procurement. Significant travel will at times be required. We offer flexible/hybrid working. Key accountabilities will include:
Lead strategy development and implementation of regional initiatives under the Global Procurement Strategic Process.Champion the development of strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and evolution of SPRM processes.Develop procurement-related risk management, sustainability, and decarbonization programs.Foster strong, successful stakeholder relationships.Manage spend budgeting and forecasting for the region.Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes across APAC.Managing both direct and indirect procurement activities.We value innovation, collaboration, and curiosity, and we are looking for someone who shares these values and can lead the procurement process across the region.
