The Role:Spearhead the Regional Development, Environment and Planning Directorate to deliver services and projects aligned with Council's corporate and operational plans, vision, mission, values and team goals.Lead and oversee the development and implementation of regional planning strategies, including land use and economic growth initiatives.Manage environmental health services, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering sustainable practices.Provide strategic direction for the development and execution of policies related to regional development and infrastructure.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive community engagement and economic development projects.Ensure effective governance, budgeting and resource allocation across multiple departments.Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering professional growth and innovation.About You:A dynamic leader with a passion for regional development, you'll inspire teams to deliver impactful outcomes.With strategic thinking, strong communication, and a collaborative approach, you'll drive growth and tackle challenges effectively.Strategic thinker and proven leader with the ability to align long-term plans and motivate diverse teams to achieve community-focused goals.Practical expertise in regional development, environmental management, and planning, underpinned by a strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building relationships with stakeholders, the community and government bodies.Expertise in regional development, environmental management and planning, with a track record of delivering successful projects.Ability to adapt to changing environments, with a solution-oriented mindset to navigate complex challenges.High level of integrity and commitment to driving positive outcomes for the community and council.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Regional/Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Engineering or similar.The Reward:5 weeks annual leave15 days personal leaveRelocation assistanceEmployee Assistance Program & Social ClubSalary sacrifice facilities (rural remote rent assistance, novated leasing, additional super contributions)How to Apply:Before you apply for this position, please read the information above carefully to assess your eligibility and suitability for the role.
