We are seeking a capable and experienced Recruitment Director to join our dynamic team within Engagement and Talent Acquisition. This role involves finding the right candidates for the department but also ensuring the recruitment process aligns with the department's equity and excellence vision and our organisational objectives. The Recruitment Director plays a vital role in supporting and partnering with the department's executives and teams to build an effective and future focussed talent pipelines and achieve our organisational goals.
Department of Education's Engagement and Talent Acquisition team within the Human Resources branch delivers a range of services and projects focused on the attraction, recruitment and mobility of school based and corporate staff across Queensland. We also work collaboratively with our colleagues and stakeholders to develop evidence informed strategic workforce plans and deliver a suite of targeted initiatives focused on ensuring the department and Queensland state schools have access to the employees they need to help every student realise their potential.
Your Role The Recruitment Director will partner with key business leaders to engage and influence stakeholders to ensure human resource strategies are closely aligned with organisational objectives and community expectations. The Recruitment Director will lead a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on collaboration and achieving results.
The Director reports to the Executive Director, Engagement and Talent Acquisition within the Human Resources Branch.
Responsibilities include:
Be accountable for the outcomes of significant HR initiatives and the quality of HR services delivered across multiple teams.Partner with key business leaders and engage influential stakeholders to ensure that HR strategies are closely aligned with organisational objectives and community expectations.Lead corporate wide initiatives or centres of expertise, by designing strategic HR initiatives and specialised services, and engaging stakeholders at a whole of organisation level.Deliver core HR services and transactions by fostering a depth of expertise in specific HR operations, focussing on service efficiency, quality and satisfaction.Responsible for significant strategic areas including developing business cases on resourcing to deliver on organisational outcomes to ensure the delivery of best practice strategies and initiatives to achieve superior performance.Provide advice to government on whole of government agenda issues and provide timely advice to government that reflects analysis of a broad range of issues.Align the breath of human resource services with business strategy and planning, identifying strategic priorities and implementing initiatives within specific geographic areas or line of business requiring human resource response, and implementing business partnering initiatives within specific geographic areas or line of businessAbout You To be successful you will need:
