DescriptionJob Title: Director - Quality, Risk and Compliance Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory 2601, Australia Role Type: Full-time / Hybrid (On and Off Site) Experience Level: Executive / Key Management Closing Date: 20 May, 2024. Capability was founded on the premise that we can do better for people living with disability, children, youth and families in the community, by providing flexible, personalised, high quality and professional supports.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director - Quality, Risk and Compliance to oversee, develop and implement the Quality, Compliance and Risk Frameworks at Capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing systems that oversee the delivery of high-quality services, managing the Quality Team, and developing appropriate frameworks. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of compliance, risk and quality frameworks, competencies and practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
This role is identified as a Key Management Personnel at Capability Support and will be bound to the Key Management Personnel Policy. Key Management Personnel are defined as roles within the organisation that have significant authority and responsibility, such as Directors, Executives and Senior Management.
Responsibilities: As the Director of Quality, Risk and Compliance, you'll have the oversight and responsibility for the Quality, Compliance and Risk Frameworks and Team at Capability, you'll report directly to the Board of Directors, and collaborate with other Key Management Personnel to develop frameworks, plans, and, deliver on quality assurance and service outcomes for our Clients.
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all clinical services within Capability Support.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and policiesDevelop and implement frameworks that promote best practice in Capability's Services.Lead the recruitment process for Quality, Risk or Compliance staff members in collaboration with Human Resources / Key Management Personnel.Monitor performance indicators related to quality assurance and service outcomes.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless support for clients.Conduct regular quality checks to assess adherence to developed and implemented frameworks.Foster a positive work culture that encourages professional development among staff members.Manage budgets allocated while ensuring cost-effective practices.Advising the team on operational, quality and risk implications in strategic discussions and planning.Contributing to the Strategic Goals of Capability.Working with the Governance Structures of Capability to adhere to all relevant legislative requirements.Planning and implementing activity aimed to promote culture of continuous improvement.Contributing and leading Key Management Personnel discussions.Skills: To be successful in the Director of Quality, Risk and Compliance role, you'll need to have:
Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in managing teams effectively.In-depth knowledge of developing, implementing and reviewing frameworksExperience in oversighting cultural change management systems or therapeutic frameworks to deliver positive outcomes.Experience and knowledge of the NDIS Service System and associated risks (desired)Experience and knowledge of the OOHC Statutory Care System (desired)Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders,Experience in managing contracts and relationshipsProven ability to make sound decisions under pressureExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailProficient in using computer systems relevant to the roleQualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in a related field (desired)Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (desired)Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to Capability Support including, but not limited to, development of appropriate resources and frameworks for teams.Working for Capability Capability is dedicated to its workforce, and doing better for the people working for, and supported by Capability.
