About You & The Role Continuously improving the safety and quality of the care we provide and reducing preventable harm is a top strategic priority for Monash Health. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the Quality and Clinical Governance Unit at Monash Health. Reporting to the Chief Quality and Medical Officer, the Director of Quality and Clinical Governance is a key senior leadership role that provides strategic leadership and management of clinical governance functions and structures, to assure the Executive Team and Board of Directors that Monash Health provides safe high-quality care in accordance with relevant quality and safety standards and legislations and has systems and processes to continuously improve clinical care.
The role leads a strong team of quality and safety professionals that support and engage clinical and operational leaders and teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, risk management, clinical and workforce effectiveness. This is a role for an experienced senior leader who wants to improve clinical outcomes for our community and provide leadership in Clinical Governance. The role requires proven high-level leadership skills with the ability to shape the future direction, exercise leadership behaviours, and provide sound judgment and professional standards. A clinical background with experience in quality and clinical governance and experience in a senior leadership role in a comparable organisation is required.
