Director, Practice Management (Criminal Law Services)
Following internal promotion, we are recruiting for an experienced Criminal Lawyer to drive continuous improvement across Legal Aid Queensland's Criminal Law Services.
Legal Aid Queensland's (LAQ) vision is to be a leader in a fair justice system where people are able to understand and protect their legal rights. Our purpose is to provide quality, cost-effective legal services to financially disadvantaged people throughout Queensland.
Our Criminal Law Practice represents children and adults charged with criminal offences before all courts in Queensland. From magistrate's court duty lawyer services to complex trials and appeal cases in the higher courts, we protect people's rights and play an integral role in Queensland's criminal justice system.
Our teams model the values of respect, quality, and accountability. We maintain a high standard of practice through good corporate governance and risk management.
