The Integrated Services Team As a key member of the Integrated Services team at TASC, you'll deliver unparalleled legal services to individuals facing mental health issues in the Toowoomba region.
Working within a health partnership and alongside local courts, you'll be part of a Mental Health Justice Partnership with Toowoomba Hospital – Darling Downs Health, driving change and fostering awareness for those in need of legal support.
The Role's Impact In this role, you'll navigate the complexities of family, domestic violence, civil, and criminal law, providing crucial advice and some opportunity to provide representation.
Your work will extend to local courts and the Mental Health Review Tribunal, where your advocacy will make a tangible difference.
You'll also play a pivotal role in data collection, casework evaluation, and raising the profile of TASC, all while collaborating to forge new pathways for growth and social change.
About You We're looking for a legal professional with a minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience, ideally with a generalist background or expertise in family, criminal, or civil law.
Your ability to work autonomously and within a team, coupled with your exceptional communication skills, will enable you to connect with clients from all walks of life, including those with mental health challenges.
Your commitment to social justice and passion for professional development will be the driving force behind your success in this role.
You must hold or be immediately eligible to obtain a Queensland Disability Worker Clearance based on mandatory criminal history screening and hold an unrestricted Queensland Driver's License.
