These roles will give you the opportunity to work on interesting initiatives that support meaningful change in how the Territory government conducts procurement.The Director, Policy Development role will develop, advise on, and implement procurement legislation, policies, and procedures across a variety of subject matters such as gender equality, sustainability and circular economy, safety, industrial relations, economic development, and modern slavery. They will also be required to assist in the delivery of outcomes for the development and implementation of training, templates, guidance materials, and other engagement activities to upskill the ACT Government workforce in the technical expertise of procurement.The ideal applicant will have a sound understanding of the ACT Government Procurement Framework, high-quality written and oral communication skills, the ability to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders, and experience in the preparation of documentation such as policies, briefs, cabinet submissions, and training material.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
