Director - Platforms & Architecture

High profile Finance company recruiting for a Platform & Architecture Director Your new company You'll be joining a fast-paced, dynamic company that operates within the Financial Services space. Your new role You'll be joining as Director, Platform & Architecture and will have significant responsibility across the business. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and an advanced data team in order to design & manage the Platform & Architecture strategy across the business. You'll have 3 direct reports initially, who you'll be responsible for training, mentoring and managing. One of the main focusses of the role will be to manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring the best possible outcome for the platform and the business. The role will also have complete responsibility for the day to day management and operation of the companies' flagship product (platform). What you'll need to succeed This role would really suit a Manager / Senior Manager who is ready to step up into a Director-level position. You'll be a hands-on manager, with a solutions focussed mindset who is able to pick things up really quickly and come to the best possible solution for the platform and wider business goals. You'll have a strategic mindset, and your experience should be a mix of strategy and implementation across platforms & architecture. This role really requires someone to wear multiple hats and just get stuff done, so being comfortable with ambiguity and a self-starter is absolutely imperative. From a technical standpoint, you will have great experience of Architecture & Cloud Platforms. The company uses AWS, so if you have deep knowledge of this, then that would be excellent.
